3 Commissioned Short Plays by 3 Rockland Playwrights on GREED

View Calendar

Join us for a truly unique evening… PTE commissioned six world premieres based on the theme of “greed” with the option of concentrating on the work of Charles Dickens by three of Rockland County’s best playwrights.

  • Sam Harps
  • Chris Kyle
  • Angelo Parra

Regardless of age or gender roles will be assigned at the evening of the readings by randomly drawing actor names from a hat!  The  brave & heroic actors will have only 5 minutes to review before the performance.  Each reading (no more than 15 minutes each) will be followed by a brief Q&A. An innovative and exciting evening of new plays.

    Margaret Atwood’s

    Good Bones & Simple Murders

In a new stage adaptation by Eileen Glenn

Be the first to see this evening of sometimes whimsical, occasionally frightening, and always perceptive observations on life from a woman’s point of view.  Atwood’s sly eye and caustic wit make her work a natural for performance and Eileen Glenn’s singular mix of southern wryness and cosmopolitan smarts make her a natural Atwood interpreter.  Adapted by Eileen Glenn and directed by Karen Case Cook.

“Glenn becomes a stunning theatrical representation of Atwood’s voice….. a soul satisfying literary feast!”   –Chicago Tribune

“An enticing portrait… On top of every mood and moment, Glenn makes Atwood’s many voices matter.”  -Chicago Sun Times
